INTRODUCTION:-
To attain liberty is not easy at all because the enslaver would not delightful in releasing the enslaved ones. The enslaver knows and understands that there would be reactiveness and reduction in possession if the enslaved is released. The enslaver would therefore be struggling in doing all he could to retain the enslaved.
Be informed, every individual should be knowledgeable of captivity and enslavement so as to enable individuals each knows and understands whether he or she is in one or the other captivity or not. He who is in the captivity but doesn’t understand what slavery means couldn’t be aware whether he is enslaved or not. He who is not aware whether he is enslaved or not would neither think nor struggle for freedom and liberty. He who is enslaved but struggles not for freedom and liberty would still remain in the captivity and enslavement. He who remains in the captivity would lacks growth, progress and development for he is deprived of freedom and liberty and such person would always be tormented in the agony of captivity.
So, the enslaved one should firstly know and understand what it means to be in captivity and struggles to be pulled out from the enslavement and he who is been enslaved should know, understand and identify himself as a slave so that he would be able to be freed from the oppression and agony of captivity.

JACOB OF ISAAC ON HIS WAY INTO HIS SOJOURNMENT BUT LATER EXPERIENCED HARDSHIP
No one would like to input himself in the captivity, but in the process of one or the other struggle with the aims and objectives to succeed in life, people are unfortunately fall into captivity. This article detected Jacob a son of Isaac in a systematic capacity, the article is also intended to examine how Jacob was unknowingly enter into the enslavement of Laban and how he was delivered out from the enslavement.
Jacob a son of Isaac (the twins brother of Easu) was an example and a case study for an individual who is agitating for liberty from an impostor and oppressor. Jacob stood here as an oppressed or enslaved one in the captivity of his uncle (i. e. his mother’s brother) called Laban. Though, it was the agreement between Jacob’s Parents (Isaac and Rebecca or Rebekah) and Jacob himself that Jacob should not get married with any of the daughters of Heth, the three of them (Isaac, Rebecca or Rebekah and Jacob) were in accord that Jacob should go to Padanaram in his mother’s father’s (Bethuel’s) home to go and get marry with a lady as his wife there. Then, Jacob himself brought himself to Laban (Laban and Rebecca or Rebekah were brother and sister and they were also son and daughter of Bethuel) to stay with him for a while for the purpose of getting marriage from Bethuel’s home (Genesis 27: 46; 28: 1 – 5). Jacob did according to his Parents’ instructions, he went to Padanaram and sojourned in Laban’s home (Genesis 28: 10 – 22; 29: 1 – 14).

JACOB’S DELIGHTED AGREEMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SOJOURNMENT AND SERVICES UNDER HIS UNCLE LABAN
Despite that Laban (as an employer) decided to employ Jacob and be giving him wages (money) for his services but Jacob refused to be getting wages (money) for his services, he preferred marrying (Rachel) Laban’s second daughter instead of taking wages (money) for his services and Laban agreed with him (Genesis 29: 15 – 19).

THE AGREEMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SOJOURNMENT AND SERVICES BETWEEN JACOB AND HIS UNCLE DECEITFULLY GRADUATED TO ENSLAVEMENT UNDER HIS UNCLE LABAN’S ADMINISTRATION
Jacob served Laban for complete seven years in fulfillment of the agreement and conditions of services between Jacob and Laban in anticipation to receive Rachel as his wife according to the agreement between Laban and Jacob, but instead, reverse is the case. Laban enforced the elder sister of Rachel (Leah) on Jacob as a wife of Jacob in replacement for Rachel claiming that it was forbidden for a younger daughter to get married while the elder daughter is still remain unmarried. Claiming that Leah the elderly daughter of Laban should get married before younger daughter (Rachel) (Genesis 29: 20 – 26). Though, Jacob reluctantly accepted the offer of Leah as his first wife but he again endured more years of enslavement under Laban to get married with Rachel as his desire and after this additional services, Laban gave Jacob Rachel as his wife (Genesis 29: 27 – 28).

LABAN ENSLAVED JACOB BY TRICK
The Laban act and treatment on Jacob is seemed to be systematic enslavement because Laban violated the agreement and conditions of services between him and Jacob. It would have better if Laban had made Jacob known and understood the custom and tradition of their land at the initial stage. But because of the hidden agenda which Laban had against the liberty of Jacob, he deceived Jacob. It’s ungodly and this is regarded as ENSLAVEMENT by trick.

DEEPENING IN THE CAPTIVITY OF JACOB UNDER LABAN’S ADMINISTRATION
The more Jacob was under the leadership of Laban was the issue of his captivity more complicated. After rigorous enslavement of Jacob under the leadership of Laban, Jacob requested for his right to gain liberty and freedom from the hardship and captivity of Laban (Genesis 30: 25 – 26). Laban in his cunningness methodologically rope Jacob and tie-him-down with a pleasant interactive dialogue from his sugar-coated mouth and Jacob agreed with him (Genesis 30: 27 – 34). Despite the systematic enslavement of Jacob in the administration of Laban, God was always with Jacob under the hardship leadership of Laban and Jacob was blessed with possessions (Genesis 30: 35 – 43).

LABAN’S HOUSEHOLD IN ANTICIPATION TO PROBE JACOB FRAUD
As the scripture reveals that despite the Laban’s trick against the freedom of Jacob, Jacob was always been increasing in possession (Genesis 30: 43). For the splendour of God was manifested in the life of Jacob. Then, jealousy apparently sprang up from Laban’s household, the sons of Laban considered Jacob to be a fraud, and they began querying and petitioning Jacob in preparation to probe him as a criminal for fraud and embezzlement (Genesis 31: 1 – 2).

JACOB AND HIS STRONG DETERMINATION FOR HIS LIBERTY AND FREEDOM
Meanwhile, Jacob had made a decision to vacate from Laban immediately after the birth of his son Joseph through his second wife (Rachel) (Genesis 30: 25) but because Laban decided to cheat him and enslave him more by tricks, he delayed him by enticing him (Genesis 30: 25 – 34). Now that the Laban’s household wanted to ruin Jacob, the scripture says:- And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee (Genesis 31: 3) (KJV). Therefore, in the instructions and direction of the Lord God Almighty, Jacob made up his mind and re-determined, he summoned his household into a dialogue, he exposed and explained to his household all what were going on (Genesis 30: 25 – 43), he revealed his decisions and determination of his relocation to his father’s home town, the whole household agreed to abide with Jacob’s agitation and determination for liberty and freedom (Genesis 31: 4 – 16), and as Laban deceived Jacob (Genesis 31: 7), Jacob also deceitfully escaped from laban (Genesis 31: 20 – 21).

CONCLUSION:-
Now, when this text says LIBERTY (OR FREEDOM) REQUIRES STRONG DETERMINATION, it implies that each individual should work towards his own right to live conducive life comfortably. Like Jacob, when he found himself in a rigorous hardship under the leadership of Laban (his Uncle), he didn’t consider the relationship and kinship between him and Laban, he allowed the spirit of God to take control and as the spirit of God directed him, he obeyed and did.
In which hardship one found himself? Has one being enslaved in one way or the other? Has a person found in one or the other captivity? Is there any person being tormented in any ways of life? Let such person calm and endure, be virtual and godly like Jacob. Live godliness life, be godly instructive, let God talks and obey God’s instructions. Jacob did these and he succeeded. Now, be informed that as the enslaver is struggling in doing all he could to retain the enslaved likewise the enslaved ones, they should also be in their struggles and be doing all they could to attain their Liberty and Freedom. Struggle continues until victory. Please, scroll down to the comment box and comment and share this article with others through WhatsApp and other Social Medias. Shalom.
